January ACT Gathering: “Climb The Vocal Ladder and Vocalize Your Soul” with Sahffi Lynne

Happy New Year–Welcome to 2024!
Our theme for the 2023/2024 program year is:
“One Love: The path of transformation”
And to kick off 2024 we have a delightful program of inspiring music to lift our souls; music we make together!
Sahffi Lynne (they/she), International Singer/Songwriter, Performer, and Vocal Coach, presents an interactive workshop, “Climb The Vocal Ladder and Vocalize Your Soul.”
Using their own “Vocal Ladder” method of teaching, Sahffi will explain how our bodies work as divine instruments; not just our physical body, yet also our emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual bodies as well.
Climbing from the first rung of “Body Awareness” through to the top of the ladder, “Expression,” each rung of the 7-runged “Vocal Ladder” aligns with the seven major chakras of the body. Climbing the “Vocal Ladder” helps us connect with, transform, and heal any stuck energy and emotion in the body.
Throughout the presentation participants will be encouraged to “play” their instruments with breath and vocal exercises to embody their authentic voice. At the end of the presentation participants will have a chance to use their newly-found reconnected voice to sing together with the group using Sahffi’s own “Illuminate Your Connection Songbook.”
This presentation is designed for beginners and intermediate singers, yet advanced singers can also benefit from this unique perspective of voice study.
BIO:
Sahffi Lynne is an international medicine musician, singer/songwriter, and vocal coach, offering their music, meditations, and teachings as medicine to illuminate our connection.
Sahffi’s channeled original music and spirit-inspired performances have taken their melodies around the world, from Peru to Zimbabwe. As a private vocal coach, Sahffi teaches those interested in deepening their relationship with their voice using their own “Vocal Ladder.” Through their online studio, “Vocalize Your Soul,” Sahffi teaches voice lessons all over the world using the Zoom platform.
With a performance degree from The Peabody Conservatory of Music, a #1 house music song in South Africa, six independently released albums, a 2015 Individual Artist Award in Solo Performance from the Maryland State Arts Council, and a 2022 Baker Artist Award nomination, Sahffi is grateful to call Baltimore home.
